At the Annual Meeting of the Bridge Family Center on June 7, Allstate Insurance Company was recognized for its deep and widespread support of the organization with the Bridge Business Award. Allstate is only the 11th company to receive this award in the organization’s nearly 50-year history.
Margaret Hann, Executive Director of the Bridge, began her remarks about Allstate’s involvement highlighting its tagline, You are in Good Hands with Allstate. “That is certainly how Allstate has made us feel over the last several years,” she shared.
On a corporate level, Allstate has invested over $73,000 in the mission of the Bridge. It has sponsored the Bridge’s signature fundraising event, the Children’s Charity Ball, at many levels, including as Presenting Sponsor; awarded the Bridge a $10,000 grant in support of Positive Youth Development; organized book and holiday gift drives; and encouraged its employees to engage with hands-on volunteer work. Allstate also matches employees’ contributions through a matching gifts program.
On a personal level, Matt Winter, President of Allstate Insurance Company, and his wife, Jane Lehman, have made personal gifts and supported the organization’s efforts to cultivate new supporters. Their four-year support of the 1,2,3 Read with Me program at the Family Resource Center helped us through a difficult time, and the program continues to flourish today. Matt and Jane also served twice as Honorary Chairs of the Children’s Charity Ball.
“The investments Allstate Insurance Company has made in our organization have changed lives,” says Hann, “and those investments will continue to make a positive impact on the children, adults, and families we serve. It is our pleasure to recognize Allstate with our Bridge Business Award, and we offer our thanks to company leadership and to the many employees and employee families who have contributed to our mission in ways both big and small.”
