FRC to Offer Circle of Security® Parenting Program
The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is an 8-week researched-based program that supports and strengthens a parent/caregiver’s ability to understand a child’s emotional needs and how best to respond and support those needs.
Through video examples, handouts, and reflective dialogue, caregivers will explore their parenting/attachment experiences in a safe environment and build parenting skills to encourage healthy growth and development.
Circle of Security® will be facilitated by Kim Townsend, FRC Parent Educator, and Amy Yarbrough, FRC Family Liaison, along with Trained COS-P Facilitators.
The program will run for 8 Fridays beginning September 29 and ending November 17. The time is 9:30-11:00 A.M. Parents and caregivers of children of all ages are invited to attend, but capacity is limited to 8 participants. Classes will be held at our Family Resource Center, located within Charter Oak International Academy, at 425 Oakwood Avenue in West Hartford.
To register, contact the FRC at 860.929.5575. The registration deadline is September 21. The fee is $36, and partial scholarships are available. Please make checks payable to Bridge Family Center. The FRC is a program of the Bridge Family Center.
