West Hartford Teen Center

Housed in the Elmwood Community Center, the Teen Center is a safe, supervised, substance-free, drop-in center open to West Hartford teens in grades 9-12 and offers both informal socializing and organized programs such as: basketball, billiards, Xbox, Ping-Pong, creative arts, and monthly special events. It is open on Monday and Friday from 2:30-5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:00-3:30 p.m. One Friday per month, Teen Night is held from 7-10 p.m.

The Teen Center also sponsors a co-ed intramural basketball team for Hall High School and Conard High School students. There are tournaments with prizes, a holiday dinner and raffle, and member-of-the-month gift cards. We hope you will encourage your high-schoolers to check out the “teen scene” at the West Hartford Teen Center. Parents know their children are protected and out of trouble, and kids are happy to be there.

There is NO CHARGE for any of the activities at the Teen Center.

The West Hartford Teen Center is sponsored by the Bridge Family Center, in collaboration with Elmwood Community Center. Funding support is provided by the Town of West Hartford, The Allstate Foundation, the Ensworth Charitable Foundation, the Ellis A. Gimbel Trust, the Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Memorial Charitable Trust, and the George A. & Grace L. Long Foundation.
