Connecticut Wealth Management and Brian R. Smith, two exceptional partners of the Bridge, were recognized at our 2019 Annual Meeting.

Connecticut Wealth Management was presented with the Bridge Business Award in celebration of the positive impact the company has made on the lives of children, adults, and families who turn to the Bridge for hope and healing. Our relationship began with sponsorship of the Children's Charity Ball and has prospered over several years to include a significant contribution beginning in 2017. Kathy Christensen, a Director at Connecticut Wealth Management, serves on the Bridge's Board of Directors and is a member of the Ball committee. We are so grateful to have been chosen as one of three organizations the company supports with their philanthropic endeavors and thank its leadership, employees, and clients for their incredible generosity and giving spirit.

Brian R. Smith, a partner at Robinson + Cole, received the inaugural George C. Hastings Award. Named after one of the founding leaders of the Bridge, the award is presented to an individual who exemplifies George's courageous, caring, and insightful nature and embodies his enduring commitment to those served by the organization. Brian has been a strong supporter of the Bridge for over 20 years. In 2011, he joined our Board of Directors and has served as Chair of the Governance Committee for most of his tenure. His legal counsel has been a tremendous asset particularly as we have opened residential programs throughout the state. Brian's guidance, friendship, and dedication to our children and families is greatly valued and deeply appreciated.
