Bridge Family Center Offers Caregiver Support Group
Looking after a partner, aging parent, or another loved one is an act of compassion and dedication. Caregiving is also very rewarding and seriously challenging. Caregivers often juggle multiple responsibilities. In addition to managing the health and daily needs of their loved ones, they may also have jobs, families, and personal obligations. The mental, physical, and emotional toll of caregiving can quickly become overwhelming. That is why caregiver support is vital for the health and well-being of the caregiver as well as the person being cared for.
The goals of the support group are to provide emotional support, reduce isolation, and explore coping strategies. By engaging with others in similar circumstances, participants will feel validated, prevent burnout, and improve overall well-being. To learn more, call our Counseling Center at 860.313.1119.
