Christopher Dutton, LCSW Joins the Bridge Family Center as Clinical Director of Community and School Services

Christopher Dutton, LCSW joined the Bridge Family Center in August 2019 as Clinical Director of Community and School Services. In this role, he is responsible for the Bridge's Youth and Family Services Department and will oversee all school-based services offered by the Bridge including case consultation and crisis intervention, counseling, support groups, and positive youth development programs. In addition, Dutton will lead the West Hartford Youth Service Bureau providing comprehensive prevention and intervention services, resource development, community involvement and advocacy.

"Chris has extensive experience in school, residential, and outpatient clinical environments. His ability to connect with children, adolescents, and adults, while providing mental health and substance abuse treatment, has earned him the distinction of a skilled, strategic leader with a compassionate and nurturing nature," said Margaret Hann, Executive Director of the Bridge Family Center. "The Bridge has a strong presence in the Greater Hartford community and its school system and Chris will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and enhance the vital programs and services we offer to children, youth, and their families," Hann concluded.

Prior to joining the Bridge, Dutton was employed at the Village for Families and Children where he served as a Clinician and then Director of a 28-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility. He developed a passion for working with children early in his career as Director of the Hartford County 4-H Camp and a paraprofessional in small private educational facilities. A resident of West Hartford, Chris earned a Master of Social Work in Administration Degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts in English Degree from Eastern Connecticut State University.
