Helen Rubino Turco Receives Build No Fences Award
Our annual Breakfast on the Bridge was held on September 13th. The event brings together town officials, school administrators, counselors, board members and Bridge staff. It is a celebration of our valued partnerships and a kick-off to the new school year.
Our Build No Fences award honors individuals who contribute to the greatness of our community through their passion, advocacy, and support of children and families. This year, Helen Rubino-Turco, Director of Social Services and Leisure Services for the Town of West Hartford received this award.
"Over the years, Helen has become my respected friend and colleague. Her heart is ALWAYS in the right place and it is never about her - it is about doing the right thing for the people who need us. Helen's kindness to others is not boastful: it is understated and unwavering, given quietly without hesitation. We are fortunate to have Helen in our lives and as part of the Bridge family," remarked Margaret Hann.
