Robert and Tamara Laurie Named Honorary Chairs for the Children's Charity Ball

The Bridge Family Center is pleased to announce Robert and Tamara Laurie will serve as Honorary Chairs for this year’s Children’s Charity Ball. The event will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Hartford Golf Club.

Robert (Bob) is a partner at Gfeller Laurie LLP, a law firm in West Hartford. He is a commercial litigator who represents clients in various industries including financial services, manufacturing, and life science. He served on the Bridge Family Center Board of Directors from 2007 to 2016 and remains a member of the Finance Committee. Tamara (Tommi) is also a lawyer who served as general counsel for Choate Rosemary Hall. In 2008, she opened Hope & Stetson in Mystic and over the next 12 years grew the business to 3 stores, a gifting company called Simple Gestures and on-line retail store. For the past decade, Tommi has served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA in Middletown, holding the position of president for several years. Tommi and Bob are currently licensed foster parents. They reside in Old Saybrook with their two daughters, son, and dogs.

“Bob and Tommi have been tremendous friends to the Bridge. Offering their support, guidance, and dedication, they have made a defining difference in the lives of those who turn to the Bridge for hope and healing,” said Margaret Hann, Executive Director of the Bridge. She continued “The theme of this year’s Ball is Here Comes The Sun. Having Bob and Tommi as Honorary Chairs expands on the theme, as they are rays of sunshine in the lives of our children and families. We are so grateful for their ongoing commitment and look forward to sharing this special evening with them and all of our generous guests.”

“We are humbled, honored, and excited to chair this amazing event and to help the Bridge raise money for its impactful community programs. It is a natural extension of our love for the Bridge,” commented Bob and Tommi.
